Whether you are looking for lunch, dinner or even just shopping for food, there are plenty of good places to eat out in South West Scotland.
The nearest shop and post office is in Auchencairn village. The shop stocks basic essentials including locally produced organic milk form Torr farm. The store also sell freshly baked goods & carry out meals daily, see their Facebook page for details & daily menu.
The nearest supermarket is the Co-op in Dalbeattie, there is also a Co-op and Tescos in Castle Douglas (known locally as the Food Town), as well as a range of butchers, bakeries and delis to choose from. Jewel in the Crown, Castle Douglas
Although this restaurant in Castle Douglas is fairly new the owners have another restaurant in Dumfries and have been serving serving award winning, Tandoori and curry specialities since 1986.
